Howard has been building quality motors since 1960. He started building and racing Ford Flathead and Ford Y-block motors in 1967 and has since progressed to Chrysler, Dodge, and Desoto Hemi motors. He has been building street rods since the 1960's, as well. All his current street rods have Flathead motors in them. He also currently has a rear-engine Dragster with twin Flathead engines in it. A front engine Hemi powered Jr. Fuel Nostalgia Dragster is now running and they are building a blown hemi-powered topolino altered. Somewhere along the way he gained the nickname "The Flathead Wizard".
Howard will build your motor to your personal specifications. If you don't have a motor he can sell you one built to your personal specifications. He has a selection of motors in stock for you to look at and choose from or to give you some ideas for what you want to do with your own motor. He can also advise you, as well, if you aren't sure what you need for your particular car. He can build a stock motor if you are into restoring an original car and motor.
Drop by and see us if you're in the area. We have motors and street rods to look at, as well as a lot of racing pictures and other memorabilia to see. Bring pictures of your race car or early street rod and we'll hang it on the wall in the office. You will be in good company with Bennie Osborn, Gary Ormsby, Steve Carbone, Don Garlits, Eddie Hill, Mike Brown, Al Schramm, Charlie Smith, Bob "Whitey" McDonald, Ralph Brown, and many others. We welcome visitors who come by to check out our facility and browse, or just to visit, swap stories or ask advise from "The Flathead Wizard".
